The Monkey Pot Cafe: A Journey with Jojo and Pinky
The Monkey pot cafe – a three-year journey with Jojo and Pinky
Well what can i say about the monkey pot cafe. It goes back well over three years ago when i was lucky enough to meet Jojo and Pinky and what an incredible couple they are if i tried to explain on paper what the monkey pot cafe is and what it stands for it simple wouldn't make sense.
On paper the cafe started life as a simple Portacabin with a lean-to but its way more than that Jojo and Pinkey make you feel instantly welcomed like part of the family, like they have know for years even if they have only meet you once before. That to me is what the world of motorcycles is all about.
Its been a pleasure watching this place grow over the years into a true hub for the two wheel world. Its one of those cafes that just make sense when you get there.
Where It All Started: The Airmyn Days
The story goes back over three years ago. Operating out of a rustic setup near Airmyn and Goole, JoJo and Pinky set out with a simple mission: serve honest, hearty food with a warm, personal touch.
It didn't take long for word to spread. Estate workers, passing motorists on the A-roads, and local bikers started dropping in—not just for the giant bacon cobs and hot pies, but for the brilliant atmosphere. Before long, that little roadside spot wasn't just a place to eat; it was a gathering point where everyone felt like a regular.
The Turning Point: Needing Room to Grow
As the café's reputation grew, so did the crowds. On sunny weekends and summer evenings, the original footprint was bursting at the seams. Bikers riding in groups, car enthusiasts, and weekend day-trippers needed more space to park up, chat, and relax.
JoJo and Pinky knew that to give their community the space it deserved, it was time for a bold move.
So get down there grab a brew a bit to eat and become part of the family
