The Motorist

Located in the heart of Yorkshire, The Motorist has rapidly become one of the UK’s premier destinations for car and motorcycle enthusiasts. Designed to celebrate vehicle culture in all its forms, it offers a space where petrolheads, casual drivers, and families can come together over great food, specialty coffee, and a shared love for the road.

Whether you’re arriving in a pristine supercar, a classic project car, a modern daily driver, or on two wheels, everyone gets a warm welcome at The Motorist.

The Story Behind The Motorist

The concept for The Motorist grew out of a passion for automotive history and design. Developed on a former airfield site near Sherburn-in-Elmet, the vision was simple: build a modern, high-spec sanctuary that blends full-service garage facilities with exceptional British hospitality.

Starting as a gathering spot for local motoring clubs, the venue quickly expanded its footprint to meet huge demand. Today, it boasts an expansive outdoor display area with space for over 800 vehicles, state-of-the-art workshop bays, and dedicated dining and event spaces.
